Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Hi Hiro ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Octanen.com OÜ, a limited company registered in Estonia (registry code 17467469, EU VAT number EE102971590), with its registered office at Sepapaja tn 6, 15551 Tallinn, Harju Maakond, Estonia. You can contact us at artur@octanen.com.

2. What Hi Hiro does

Hi Hiro is a job-search assistant that helps you research companies, generate tailored CVs, and prepare for interviews using AI-generated content (including content produced via third-party AI models and live web search). Outputs are generated automatically and may contain inaccuracies — you are responsible for reviewing and verifying anything before relying on it (e.g. before submitting a CV or attending an interview).

3. Accounts

  • You must provide accurate information when creating an account (via email/password or Google sign-in).
  • You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
  • You must be at least 16 years old to use Hi Hiro, or the minimum age of digital consent in your country if higher.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, abuse the service, or attempt to circumvent usage limits.

4. Plans, usage limits & billing

Hi Hiro offers a free plan with limited usage (e.g. a limited number of company briefs and CV generations) and paid plan(s) with expanded limits. Paid plan details, pricing, and billing terms are shown at the point of purchase. [Add specific billing/refund policy once payments are live — see Stripe integration]. We may change pricing or plan limits with reasonable notice.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Hi Hiro for any unlawful purpose, including submitting fraudulent CVs or impersonating someone else.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt the service or its underlying AI/API integrations.
  • Upload content you don't have the right to upload, or that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Use automated means (bots, scripts) to access the service outside of the provided interface.

6. AI-generated content

Company research briefs, CVs, and interview prep materials are generated using third-party AI models (e.g. Anthropic Claude) and live web search (e.g. Exa). This content is provided "as is" — it may be incomplete, outdated, or contain errors. Hi Hiro is a drafting and research aid, not a guarantee of employment outcomes, and we are not liable for decisions made based on its output.

7. Your content

You retain ownership of any CV, document, or information you upload. By uploading it, you grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide the service to you (e.g. extracting text to generate a tailored CV). We do not sell your content or use it to train third-party models beyond what's needed to deliver the requested output, except as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual property

The Hi Hiro name, branding, and underlying software are owned by us or our licensors. These Terms don't grant you any rights to our intellectual property beyond what's needed to use the service.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Hi Hiro, including reliance on AI-generated content. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law (e.g. for gross negligence or fraud).

10. Termination

You may stop using Hi Hiro and delete your account at any time from your account Settings (which permanently erases your data), or by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we'll notify you (e.g. by email or in-app notice) before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the courts of Estonia, unless mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring claims elsewhere.
